Before you ask, my parents weren\u2019t that clever. I married my way into it. It was a solid branding decision \u2014 and I kept the name, so it all worked out in the end.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m a lifelong learner and avid reader. I have two grown daughters and an adorable bulldog mix (Dolly Pawton) and Penny, whenever she makes a cameo.<\/p>\n
When I\u2019m not working, I run an award-winning book review site and speak on panels across the publishing industry.<\/p>\n
If I don\u2019t have a book or a bulldog nearby, I\u2019m probably working on a charity that matters to me. I\u2019ve volunteered with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), P.E.O., and a number of cultural and community-focused organizations throughout my adult life.<\/p>\n
